The Rotary Club of Southwold and District

The Rotary Club of Southwold and District is part of Rotary International and was formed in 1960. The club currently has 25 members from all walks of life who meet regularly at the Southwold Reydon & District Constitutional Club Woodleys Yard, Southwold IP18 6HP. We would also very much encourage Friends of Rotary to help volunteer at community events on occasions.

The club supports many local charities and community projects. We have completed improvements to the gardens at Pitches View care home, and reinstated the Christmas Day Charity Swim, Starlight Walk, Brass on the Grass and Reydon Lights Switch-on. We are actively involved with the Henham Steam Rally too.

Micro-Financing
Like many other clubs the Rotary Club of Southwold and District has decided to support the Lend With Care initiative. This involves helping entrepreneurs in the developing world to support themselves by providing micro-loans for their businesses. The club has initially helped three entrepreneurs.
